Episode 39: Lyons on RMIT SAB

Jan Henderson interviews Adrian Stanic (Director) and James Wilson (Principal), at Lyons Architecture, on the Swanston Academic Building project at RMIT University in Melbourne, a High Commendation winner at the World Architecture Festival 2013 Singapore, where Jan also caught up with Adrian and James briefly.

This new $220m project will add to RMIT University’s portfolio of significant architecture on its Swanston Street Campus. The building will be a major teaching and learning focus for the campus, with a range of innovative student-centred learning spaces developed around collaborative pedagogies. With over 80 teaching spaces ranging from conversation rooms for 30 people to lecture spaces for 360, the 11 storey building will be one of the largest teaching and learning facilities in Australia.
