Episode 56: WAF 2014 Nik Karalis Woods Bagot


Nik Karalis is the Global Design Director at Woods Bagot. After working across five continents, Karalis developed a worldly perspective on architecture that incorporates both global and local cultural aspects of living.

His portfolio is a diverse collection of civic, architectural and interior projects, including Australian landmarks like the Melbourne Exhibition Centre.

Throughout his career he has received international acclaim for his work, winning prominent design awards such as the IDEA national award and the FX international award.

Jan Henderson caught up with Nik at this year’s World Architecture Festival to speak to him about his latest projects in Australia, Australia’s forefront position in Architecture and how he defines architectural beauty.
