Episode 110: 200 George Street Sydney

In this episode we examine the challenging journey to create a unique facade for 200 George Street, by Mirvac. The building is located in the heart of Sydney and showcases cutting-edge building technologies including a world first in kinetic facade design. The building has been designed by Richard Francis-Jones, in collaboration with Permasteelisa, Somfy and Accoya. 200 George Street is a new breed of office building, rejecting the alienation of the cold metallic box in favour of a warm, more human form.

We interview architect Richard Francis-Jones, Andrew Vatiliotis of Permasteelisa and Alistair Grice of Somfy on overcoming the challenges of creating the building and its innovative facade.
