Landscape Architect Lucinda Hartley, co-founder of Co-Design, discusses why and how, when it comes to urban planning, the community should be involved.

Co-Design has created a number of innovative tools to engage local community members in the redefining of their spaces, including the use of ubiquitous and cheap everyday materials such as sticky notes, plastic bags, streamers and chalk. By workshopping options and ideas with the local community, Co-Design is able to put forward solutions for urban revitalisation.
