Episode 130: Patrik Schumacher - Zaha Hadid Architects

This week on ArchiTel Jan Henderson talks with Patrik Schumacher the principal of Zaha Hadid Architects. Zaha Hadid Architects is a British international architecture and design firm founded by Zaha Hadid, with its main office situated in Clerkenwell, London. Zaha Hadid was awarded the pritzker Architecture prize in 2004 and is internationally known for her built, theoretical and academic work. Her pioneering vision redefined architecture and design for the 21st century and captured imaginations across the globe.

After the passing of Zaha Hadid in 2016 her long time friend and colleague Patrik Schumacher took over as principal of Zaha Hadid Architects and was tasked with continuing her legacy within the built environment. Patrik is a quintessential part of the firm and frequently collaborated with Zaha on many of their projects.

We were fortunate to meet up with Patrik recently at the “Reimagining Architecture” exhibition held in 412 St Kilda Road, Melbourne.
