Episode 133: Humberto Campana - Estudio Campana

This week on ArchiTel, Jan Henderson talks with Humberto Campana, the brother of Fernando Campana in their duo furniture company Campana. Humberto's pushes for 'reinvention' - simple, progressive solutions to designing products & furniture in our contemporary world. He works with 'mundane' materials, re-uses and transforms these pieces into something that both considers the story of the material and expresses his South American (Brazilian) cultural roots. Check out some of his exhibits at the Modern Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) and in the online collection at NGV.

We were fortunate to meet up with Humberto in December at the NGV Triennial held at the National Gallery of Victoria.

Check out his collaborative work called Victoria Amazonica - a domed structure reflecting Aboriginal stories and principles with nature as part of an exhibition at the NGV Trennial.
