Episode 139: Indigenous Architecture - Jade Kake
In this episode of ArchiTel, Jan Henderson talks with Jade Kake, an architect of Maori and Dutch descent, born in Bundjalung Country in Northern NSW. We were fortunate to meet Jade at the Melbourne School of Design - University of Melbourne where she was speaking at the Indigenous Design Symposium.
Jade has experience working directly with Māori land trusts and tribal entities to progress culturally-based sustainable development, and in working with mana whenua (local tribal) groups to express their cultural values and narratives through the design of their physical environments. - Melbourne School of Design
