THE CAPITOL
This week on ArchiTel, we bring you the Capitol Theatre refurbishment by Six Degrees Architects. We speak with project architect Tim Rodgers about this beautiful heritage building in Melbourne's CBD.
Originally designed by Marion Mahony Griffin and Walter Burley Griffin in 1924, RMIT University recently reopened the historic cinema that has been repurposed as an education facility for students studying film and digital media. Prof. Martyn Hook further explains that the space was not only reopened for RMIT's benefits, but also the city of Melbourne.
